GS Power Human Rights Charter
  • Purpose of Establishment

    GS Power recognizes the importance of universal human rights and corporate social responsibility in the process of running a business. The company is committed to pursuing sustainable growth and development by respecting the human rights of all stakeholders, including employees and executives, consumers, cooperating companies, and local residents.
    GS Power actively implements human rights management while establishing this Human Rights Charter to minimize and prevent human rights violations that may occur as a result of its business activities.

  • Scope of Policy Application

    This Charter applies to employees and executives of GS Power.
    However, in cases where the matters covered by this Charter conflict with local laws and regulations, local laws and regulations take precedence.

  • Basic Principles

    Charter adheres to international standards and guidelines related to human rights and labor, including the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, core conventions of the International Labour Organization, and the OECD Due Diligence Guidance.

    GS Power complies with the legally mandated working hours in the countries where it operates, and provides all employees and executives with fair compensation for their work. The company also offers ample educational opportunities for the development of employees and executives ' skills and provide a suitable working environment to enhance their quality of life.

  7. 7 Responsible Supply Chain Management

    All GS Power companies recommend to their major suppliers and cooperating companies to comply with obligations related to human rights protection and take appropriate measures when necessary to ensure the fulfillment of human rights management by suppliers and cooperating companies.

  8. 8 Protection of Local Residents' Human Rights

    All GS Power employees and executives are attentive to ensuring that the human rights of local residents are not violated while performing their duties, especially by respecting and protecting the rights of local residents to life and occupational safety and health.

  9. 9 Protection of Customer Rights

    · All GS Power employees and executives must ensure that the products and services provided do not harm the health and safety of consumers. They should refrain from engaging in deceptive or misleading practices in advertising and marketing.

    · GS Power respects consumer privacy to the fullest extent and takes the best measures to protect the personal information collected and stored by the company.

    GS Power regularly assesses and improves human rights risks and shares the results with stakeholders.
    Additionally, to establish such a human rights risk management system, The company may designate an organization or individual responsible for human rights management.

    GS Power recognizes that environmental sustainability is an essential value in the lives of our customers and a globally significant issue. The company is committed to pursuing sustainable management through environmental preservation and improvement.

  • Policy Scope

    This policy encompasses all business areas undertaken by GS Power.

Policy Objectives
  1. 1 Production Activities

    GS Power strives to minimize environmental pollution arising from production facility operation and maintenance. Additionally, efforts are made to establish and implement processes for efficient management of production and business facilities for environmental management purposes.

  2. 2 Product and Service Development

    GS Power must be aware of various environmental issues that may impact the business, both as threats and opportunities, and make efforts to develop products and services that minimize environmental impacts.

  3. 3 Distribution and Logistics

    In order to minimize environmental pollution that may occur during the transportation of services and products, GS Power should manage it through internal processes.

  4. 4 Waste Management

    - In order to reduce waste generation, GS Power must manage waste generation, collection, storage, disposal, and related facilities through inspections and monitoring.

    - Furthermore, GS Power makes efforts to enhance the recyclability of waste, considering recyclability from the design stage of products and services. The company also shares information regarding waste recovery and recycling with stakeholders.

  5. 5 Evaluation of suppliers, contracts, and service providers

    GS Power should make efforts to minimize environmental impacts when selecting external suppliers by evaluating their environmental management levels.

GS Power's Supplier Code of Conduct
  • Purpose of Establishment

    GS Power recognizes the importance of sustainable business principles and ideals for the sustainable growth of the group. The company values the shared values and practices of our partners, the cooperating companies, who are our companions in understanding and practicing these principles.
    GS Power respects the autonomy and independence of cooperating companies and recommends that they faithfully adhere to and comply with these guidelines to align with the group's sustainable business principles and ideals.

  • Scope of Policy Application

    GS Power may voluntarily recommend that all of its cooperating companies, regardless of the location of their business activities, voluntarily adhere to these guidelines.

Respect for the Fundamental Human Rights of Workers
  1. 1 Voluntary Labor

    All labor performed by cooperating companies of GS Power should be based on the voluntary consent of the workers, and workers should have the freedom to change jobs or resign at any time.

  2. 2 Employment of Minors and Vulnerable Workers Reporting

    - GS Power's cooperating companies must comply with the minimum legal employment age standards set by the country and regional regulations in which they operate.

    - While it is permissible to employ workers above the legal minimum employment age, workers under 18 years of age should not be engaged in tasks that pose risks from a safety and health perspective.

    Additionally, all overtime work must be voluntary, and in cases where unavoidable overtime work occurs, appropriate compensation should be provided.

  4. 4 Wages and Benefits

    GS Power's cooperating companies must pay their workers wages that are at least equal to or higher than the minimum wage prescribed by applicable laws and regulations. They should also implement a benefits system aimed at improving the quality of life for their workers.
    Additionally, wages should be paid at regular intervals through appropriate methods.

  5. 5 Privacy Protection and Humane Treatment

    GS Power's cooperating companies should respect the privacy of workers, including their personal information, and avoid any treatment that may compromise their personal dignity.
    Furthermore, they should refrain from engaging in any physical or psychological abuse, including sexual harassment, punishment, insults, or any other forms of harassment towards workers.

  6. 6 Anti-discrimination

    Cooperating companies of GS Power should provide equal opportunities to workers and refrain from unfairly discriminating against workers on the basis of nationality, gender, religion, social status, or any other reasons in matters such as employment, promotion, compensation, and training opportunities.

  7. 7 Establishment of Procedures for Preventing Human Rights Violations

    Cooperating companies of GS Power make their best efforts to prevent human rights violations among workers by establishing and implementing relevant systems or procedures.

Safety and Health at the Workplace
  1. 1 Industrial Safety

    Cooperating companies of GS Power eliminate harmful risks that could jeopardize the safety of workers. To achieve this, they provide appropriate personal protective equipment to workers, install technical control measures, establish safe work procedures, and conduct ongoing safety training for workers.

  2. 2 Management of Industrial Accidents and Diseases

    Cooperating companies of GS Power establish and implement systems and procedures to prevent and manage industrial accidents and diseases.

  3. 3 Industrial hygiene and health

    Cooperating companies of GS Power provide employees with a hygienic working environment and auxiliary facilities, making continuous efforts to improve working conditions to prevent employee health issues caused by excessive fatigue and stress.

Environment

    Cooperating companies of GS Power are committed to diligently complying with environmental regulations and acquiring, maintaining, and managing environmental permits and registrations as required by these regulations.

  2. 2 Waste reduction and resource use efficiency

    Cooperating companies of GS Power strive to reduce or eliminate all forms of waste through methods such as process modifications, raw material substitution, material recycling, and reuse. They also make efforts to expand the use of environmentally friendly energy sources and water resources and improve resource efficiency.

  3. 3 Prevention of Environmental Pollution

    Cooperating companies of GS Power must identify hazardous substances that can harm human health or cause environmental pollution and make every effort to handle and manage them safely.

Business Ethics
  1. 1 Fair and Honest Business Conduct

    Cooperating companies of GS Power must ensure that their employees and executives do not engage in unfair trading practices or actions that undermine fair market order. They should manage and supervise their operations in an honest and transparent manner.

  2. 2 Prohibition of Bribery and Corruption Prevention

    Cooperating companies of GS Power must establish policies and standards for the prohibition of bribery and prevention of corruption, and they should manage and supervise their employees and executives to ensure compliance with these policies and standards.

  3. 3 Protection of Personal Information

    Cooperating companies of GS Power must protect the information of individuals, including customers, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, and they should take physical and technical measures for this purpose.

Management System
  1. 1 Risk Assessment

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power should make efforts to identify potential risks in the areas of ethics, environment, labor/human rights, safety/health that may arise during business operations.

    - If cooperating companies of GS Power identify significant risks, they must develop and implement measures to mitigate these risks.

  2. 2 Compliance with Rules

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power must provide information on their compliance with this Code of Conduct, as well as the level of compliance, during written checks or site visits conducted by third parties designated by GS Power.

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power must create and manage appropriate documentation that can demonstrate compliance with this Code of Conduct. Such documentation should be based on the actual facts and operations of the business.

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power must make efforts to establish and implement plans for the timely correction of deficiencies or violations identified through written checks or site visits related to compliance with this Code of Conduct.

  3. 3 Training and Communication

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power must provide training to their employees and executives on the matters outlined in this Code of Conduct and on matters covered by laws and regulations related to this Code of Conduct.

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power must share with their employees and executives the action plans and implementation results related to the matters outlined in this Code of Conduct.

  4. 4 Management of Trading Partners (Subcontractors)

    - Cooperating companies of GS Power should encourage their trading partners (subcontractors) with whom they contract for the planning, design, sale, or manufacturing of products or services to manage ethical, environmental, labor/human rights, safety, and health factors.

    - If cooperating companies confirm or become aware of their trading partners (subcontractors) violating laws and regulations related to ethics, environment, labor/human rights, safety, and health or if they identify relevant risks, they should make efforts to recommend or induce their trading partners (subcontractors) to make improvements.
